The Memories of Laura Silva
a multimedia immersive
experience by Pedro PMDS
Pedro PMDS presents a sonic universe inspired by memories of Azorean nature, created from recordings of sounds around the islands and along the trail where the performance takes place — where nature is expressive and audible.
The piece follows an imaginary timeline, beginning with the geological formation of the islands and traveling into the future, where technology and nature merge.
In response to Pedro PMDS’s creation, Sofia Caetano and Elliot Sheedy created the projected images cast onto the trees, which here become a canvas. Nature displays itself, and neither the image nor the sound follows human logic.

— the Domain of Anuís.
