LOBA
a dreamlike performance merging sensuality, memory,
and wild feminine power

A multidisciplinary immersive experience by Mariana Pacheco de Medeiros
multidisciplinary theatre, video projection, performance, sound
LOBA is a multidisciplinary solo performance that arises from the desire to explore stories about women and their transition to adulthood, sexuality, fantasy, and transformation.
It is a spectacle that thrives on images, symbols, and memories. In the video, a body dances in the forest, destroying heirlooms, and racing a wolf. On stage, the same body meticulously prepares for a ball. Sensuality is sought without fear of the grotesque, until reality merges with fiction, and only then, in a kind of lucid dream shrouded in mist, is the she-wolf born and kills the wolf.
Wearing wireless headphones, participants are invited to enter the trail and follow the performer of LOBA. Along the way, they are drawn into the character’s intimate world as she prepares for her debutante ball.
Chairs are scattered throughout the performance space.
